What is taking place in Iraq is setting off screaming alarms, not only due to the monstrous crimes the occupying forces are committing, especially the American forces, in Iraq, but also due to these forces’ igniting a lethal Fitnah between the people of Iraq, especially between the Muslims of the Sunnah and the Shi’a. America is seeking to achieve two objectives with one blow: dislodging the Islamic fabric of society in Iraq, and dislodging the people of Iraq’s support of the resistance.
America is weaving a dirty web in the war on Iraq; an intricately designed web, a web that neither recognizes morals nor decency, a web that uses explosive weapons in invading public markets, mosques, gathering places of laborers, and seeks out scholars in the Deen and the Dunya (science and technology). These attacks have reached the extent that people have become accustomed to waking to the bombing of a market, or a mosque, or the killing of an atomic scientist, or a chemist, or a physicist, or the bombing of laborers seeking their daily sustenance, and where the absence of such events in a day is seen as the exception!
And despite the fact that these fingerprints clearly belong to the occupying forces, especially those of America, are damning proof of who is the true beneficiary of these actions - the occupying forces - the experts in propaganda from the American, the British and their supporters, as well as the misguided who follow them, are all working hard to blame these acts on those who are bravely fighting the occupying forces; those who meet rockets, jetfighters, tanks, and advanced weaponry with simple, average weapons. But with their Iman and sincerity, these fighters manage to strike the occupying forces with casualties everyday. The large number of American casualties has become a heavy, suffocating nightmare on Bush and his entourage.
The twisting and distortion of facts is far more dangerous than the events themselves. Attributing these monstrous acts of attacking mosques, markets and scholars to the resistance is truly a far greater danger than performing them, for this turns people’s attention away from the monstrosities of the occupying forces on the one hand, and smears the reputation of those who are putting their lives on the line to fight the occupation on the other hand.
How can any sane person believe that the one who is fighting his enemy to free his land and his people from occupation would attack his own family, neighbors and brothers?
How can any sane person believe that a Muslim, who believes in Allah and His Messenger, is fighting for the sake of Allah and knows that to destroy the Ka’ba itself is less significant with Allah than the killing a human without the right to do so, would kill a laborer out seeking his daily sustenance?
How can any sane person believe that a Muslim, who believes in Allah and His Messenger, would be able to accuse a Muslim - a Muslim who says the Shahada of laa ilaha illa Allah Muhammadann Rasool Allah - of Kufr, making his wealth and blood free for the taking, Sunni or Shi’i alike?
How can any sane person believe that those same people who are resisting the Kuffar’s occupation of the Muslim lands could turn their weapons towards killing the Muslims?
O Muslims, O people of Iraq,
Hizb ut-Tahrir confirms to you two things and warns you of two things:
It confirms the first: That it is a heinous crime for a Muslim to turn his weapon on the people of his land in their markets, mosques and to their persons. The Messenger of Allah, sallAllahu ‘alayhi wasallam, stated: “Every Muslim to another Muslim is sacred: his blood, his wealth and his honor”. It is even Haram in Islam to harm non-Muslim Dhimmis who live in the Muslim lands, where the Messenger, sallAllahu ‘alayhi wasallam, stated “Whoever harms a Dhimmi, I am his opponent”.
It confirms the second: It is a heinous crime for anyone to help the occupying forces in killing Muslims, regardless of the type of help, even if it be offering them food or drink. How much worse, then, would it be to participate with the occupying forces in commencing a campaign to murder Muslims in their villages and cities, destroying their mosques? Allah, subhanahu wa ta’ala stated: “Oh you who believe, do not take the Jews and the Christians as helpers/protectors (Awliyaa’). They are only helpers/protectors of each other. If any from amongst you takes them as helpers/protectors, then he is one of them. Verily, Allah does not guide the oppressors” [Al-Maa’ida: 51], and He also stated: “Allah forbids you from (being friends/protectors/helpers to) those who fight you in your Deen, and expel you from your homes, and support others in driving you out. And whoever takes them as friends/helpers/protectors, they are the oppressors” [Al-Mumtahana: 9].
The Hizb warns of the first: Of falling into the trap of this dirty game devised by the occupying forces, especially the American forces, in igniting a Fitnah between Muslims, Sunni and Shi’a, where they are even trying to ignite a Fitnah between the different parts of Iraq itself.
It warns of the second: Of believing that the occupation forces, especially the American forces, are innocent of the massacres that took place in the markets, mosques and on innocent people. Regardless of what is propagated by the media, written, oral or visual, blaming this or that, dead or alive, for these massacres in the mosques and markets of workers and civilians, Sunni or Shi’a, is the work of America and Britain to relieve some pressure off the occupying forces, and to dry the quagmire the Kafir occupiers and their forces have fallen into. It is well known that, in a crime investigation, one looks for the beneficiary - the person with a motive - and we now ask here: Who is the main beneficiary from these disgusting crimes, other than the occupying forces?
O Muslims, O people of Iraq,
This is what Hizb ut-Tahrir confirms to you, and this is what it warns you of. This matter is clear for all to see. When you see a soldier from the occupation forces killed, you quickly conclude that the ones who killed him were men from the resistance; similarly, when you see or hear of an attack on a mosque, a market or the killing of a worker or assassination of a scholar, you should also quickly conclude that it was the occupation forces who were behind that murder or assassination.
Be very cautious and wary of falling into the deceptions of the occupiers, aiming your arrows to your own chests, rather than all aiming them - united - at the chests of your enemy.
And be very cautious and wary of being fooled by the propaganda of their fraudulent media, believing that the attacks on the markets, etc. were perpetrated by Muslims who believe in Allah and His Messenger. A Muslim does not accuse his Muslim brother of Kufr, nor does he make his blood or honor open for violation. If you hear of anyone making what Allah has made Haram into Halal, then know that Islam has nothing to do with him, and investigate who has something to gain in doing such a thing. You will surely find that it is the occupation forces, without a doubt. They are the ones behind blaming the bombing of the Shi’a mosque on the Sunnis, and behind blaming the bombing of the Sunni mosque on the Shi’a, and the same goes for the killing of scholars, and the attacks on the villages and towns. This is to ignite a Fitnah between Muslims, keeping them busy fighting each other, rather than standing united, strong and firm, in the face of the occupation.
This matter, o Muslims, is very serious and is no joking matter. The occupiers are in a quandary. They believe that there is no way out if this quagmire except by igniting a Fitnah in Iraq, especially between the Muslims. Do not allow them to succeed in this, for they are the true enemy, so beware of them. Be like a concrete barrier in their path, causing them to crash against it, stopping them in their tracks, and lie in wait for them at each and every ambush.
“Verily, in this is a Message for a people who truly worship Allah” [Al-Anbiyaa’: 106]
