The Iraqi yesterday, 16th November, 2008 C.E acceded to the Security agreement with the United States government and referred the treaty to the parliament for ratification. Though it is no secret that the forces that hold sway in the parliament are in effect the same people who run the regime in Iraq that accepted this agreement in the first place!
Indeed this agreement whose major portions are secret, but to whatever is known it does not bode well. It is heinously criminal, the Iraqi regime set up & bolstered by the US, before it signed the agreement which is thoroughly misleading & deceptive. It seeks to put the ugly agenda which brought in the US occupation in a beautiful manner without any worthwhile changes whatsoever.
When the United States monstrously attacked Iraq, it had aimed at achieving two things:
The First: Taking Iraq as its launch pad, both politically & militarily to establish its hegemony in the region in such a way that it’s heinous attacks do not adversely affect the ruling regime either internally or globally.
The Second: To control petrol, Iraq’s main resource and anything else of monetary worth.
But these two points though they do not find any mention what so ever in the agreement, are known to any political observer or to any one who can see and hear and cares. However the US has placed other points in the sidelines which are only for public consumption.
An observer who knows this agreement would find that these achievements are fully realised in the text of the agreement:

It has been mentioned in the text of the accord that the American armed forces will remain in Iraq legally until the end of 2011 C.E without being harmed!
Further, it states that any armed action against the US forces will be deemed to be a terrorist activity and will be bound to be crushed. Not only will the US armed forces will act to crush it, the Iraqi government will be responsible to fight such terrorism!
On the other hand, the American forces’ attacks on people and homes, although supposed to be under Iraqi jurisdiction, have dexterously been manipulated in such a way that for these attacks to be termed as terrorist activity against people & their homes, the agreement stipulates that it has to be referred to a committee involving both the US and the Iraqi regime foisted by the Americans! Any aware person would off course realise that a committee comprising the US occupation forces and the Iraqi regime can only be controlled by the US forces, the regime representation merely serves the purpose of a silent witness to the outrageous crimes of the occupying forces.
As for the clarifications of the Iraqi officials who pledge that the US would not launch attacks in the neighbourhood, they are mere words coming from the mouth of an empty gun shots with no meaning. The truth is that an American attack on Syria is not unforeseen!
- Then comes the issue of finances, it in pointed out in the agreement that the US will be responsible to protect Iraq’s oil revenues! This implies that America is the finance trustee of Iraq and will administer the money generated by oil and control expenditure. With the US being its trustee, would Iraq need any other?!
Thus this agreement legitimises the US hegemony and occupation of the land and its people by its armed forces not only in Iraq but elsewhere in the region. This evil design puts Iraq under American mandate, not only politically but militarily as well. Moreover the trusteeship over Iraq’s finances which the agreement seeks to legitimise puts the financial affairs firmly under the authority of the regime that rules under the mandate!
Oh Muslims!
Oh the People of Iraq!
This agreement is tantamount to surrendering the land and its people. It amounts to subjugating the people of Iraq directly under the US regime. This agreement allows control of Iraq’s forces and its resources to be controlled by the Americans. It seeks to pave every way for the US, which is a grave crime in Islam, Allah (swt) says:
ولن يجعل الله للكافرين على المؤمنين سبيلا.
“And never will Allâh grant to the disbelievers a way (to triumph) over the believers.” [TMQ an Nisa: 141]
The statement of the Iraqi officials that they are in need of the US forces to secure peace and safety is another great criminal deception. Indeed the culprits who destroyed peace and shed blood, caused misery and destruction are the occupation forces. How can their assistance be sought to secure peace!? Iraq does not stand in need of some one to secure peace; it is capable of doing so on its own, even beyond it, of only it is governed by a wise ruler!
This is the reality of seeking US assistance ‘to secure peace’, but under the Islamic Shari’ah, it is forbidden to seek kufr states assistance, the Prophet (saw) says: “Do not light up with the fire from the Mushrikeen.” The Prophet (saw) further says: “We do not seek assistance from the Mushrikeen.” Thus, seeking their ‘help’ actually amounts to betraying Allah (swt), His Prophet (saw) and the believers.
Oh Muslims!
Oh the people of Iraq!
You are a land of resources and capable manpower; you are an important fortress of Islam deeply rooted in history ever since the prophet Ibraheem (a.s) set out from your lands spreading good allover the region under the command of his Creator. Your ancestors entered into Islam and fought the Romans & Persians side by side with the Muslims. Salah uddin set out from your lands to defeat the crusaders and expel them from the blessed lands. It was you who fought the occupying British forces in Iraq during the First World War…..You have the ability to expel the occupying forces from your lands and restore your honour and pride and that of Baghdad the cradle of world civilization which was the beacon of light during era of Khilafah.
Hizb ut-Tahrir implores you stand up for truth and confront the Iraqi regime erected by America. Stand up and reject this deceptive & worthless agreement to clean this shameful scar from your land, remember by the will of Allah (swt), you are capable of achieving this:
ولينصرن الله من ينصره إن الله لقوى عزيز
“Verily, Allâh will help those who help His (Cause). Truly, Allâh is All-Strong, All-Mighty.” [TMQ al Hajj: 040]
As for the people that America planted on the blessed land of Iraq, their fate will be of shame & disgrace in the days to come, it is inevitable by the will of Allah (swt). This will be when the Muslims are able to restore the Khilafah al Rashidah which will severely account their crimes committed in this world, while the punishments of the day of Judgement will be even greater.
